Rachau Tree-Top Trail
From April to October, the gates of the tree-top trail are open to nature lovers, the young and the young at heart.
Whether you prefer a fast pace or a comfortable stroll, the trail offers a unique experience - an adventure through the treetops.
Stairs, platforms, walkways and a 4 m cantilevered viewing platform overlooking the depths are the highlights of the adventure trail. Even the path to the construction offers sunny spots to rest and stations with balance exercises, games of skill and a fun-filled walk. Guided tours are available upon request and will teach you interesting things about the forest, its inhabitants, the construction of the tree-top trail and the flora and fauna of the region.
More than 7000 exhibits separated thematically and spread over an exhibition area of almost 400 m2. Among these are around 4000 carnival orders from all over Europe, the USA, Africa, Canada and Brazil. Discover the carnival uniforms of guards, elves, prices and dukes. Suitable for children.
KNITTELFELD SWIMMING POOL

KNITTELFELD RAILWAY MUSEUM
Knittelfeld Railway Museum is directly on the River Mur Cycling Trail. 16 themed rooms over approx. 1,000 m² entice you into the fascinating world of railways. Outdoor model railway open: 1 May - 20 Sept. Special exhibition: "Steam trains in Knittelfeld from 1868 to now.
KNITTELFELD CRAZY GOLF COURSE
In the beautiful municipal park in town of Knittelfeld is Styria's only tournament crazy golf course!
The course consists of 18 concrete fairways, each 12 m long and 1.25 m wide. Guests can relax on the many benches. Crazy golf, fun for the whole family!
ALPINPARK STEINMÜHLE, GAAL
Challenge yourself on a personal adventure! Our high wire park in this rocky natural landscape offers an abseiling wall, a Pamper pole, aerial traverses, a flying fox and much more. The Alpinpark is also ideal for climbing and via ferrata training. The necessary equipment is provided on site.
HERB NATURE TRAIL, GAAL
Discover a beautifully landscaped Kräuterlehrpfad (herbal nature trail) in 14 boxes with 70 different spices and medicinal herbs. There is also a chance to try Kneipp therapy and refresh yourself in the mountain stream. You can choose to explore the trail on your own, but guided tours are also possible at any time by prior appointment.
True to the motto "breathe in nature - and relax" you can find quiet time away from the stress of everyday life at this scenic mountain lake, which lies at around 1,200 metres above sea level. Visitors will discover a fantastic mountain panorama, which is reflected in the waters of the lake. Coach access, 5 minute walk from the coach park.
ZELTWEG SPORTS CENTRE
This sports centre in the centre of Aichfeld provides - not least because of its size (??126,600 m²) - a variety of leisure and sports activities for all ages. The attractive facility offers over 20 different (summer and winter) sports. The sports halls, spacious outdoor area and the generous parking facilities mean that it is also ideal as an event and exhibition centre.

The newly designed hall includes 3 tennis and squash courts and a sports café. There is also a Wellness complex, which features 2 sunbeds, a steam sauna, a Finnish sauna, a herbal sanarium, an infrared cabin, and a shower experience for rest and relaxation.
PLANETARIUM: Spectacular space shows, "all-encompassing" flights through the universe of knowledge and impressive music shows by Pink Floyd - you can experience all this in our 500-year-old Sternenturm Judenburg Planetarium whatever the weather!
The most modern planetarium in Europe takes you into the mysterious depths of both space and the ocean. The ingenious 3D space action will amaze, entertain and educate. The exhibition is suitable for children ages 4 and up (with the exception of one show) and an overview of the current sky is always included. The planetarium is located in Austria's highest town tower, which features a spectacular glass-bottomed lift. You can also enjoy a unique view of the Murtal from our panoramic café (42 m).
On three floors, numerous exhibits, including a coin and art collection, document the history of Judenburg. Its prehistoric importance is illustrated by the Hallstatt finds at Falkenberg in Strettweg: you can see a replica of the famous Cult Wagon Strettweg and and the most recent excavations.
JUDENBURG SPA EXPERIENCE
Fun and games in the spacious outdoor pool, indoor pool (open during the winter and in case of bad weather) and the sauna complex. "Breathe in the mountain" is the motto of this unique themed Erlebnisweg (Adventure Trail) through Zirbenland (Pine Land). UNZMARKT-FRAUENBURG LEISURE PARK
The Freizeitpark (leisure park) offers free bathing in a natural swimming pond with approximately 1000 m2 of water, a separate children's pool for the little ones, a rainbow slide and a wooden diving tower. "BIG FUN WITH THE LITTLE ONES": a dream location for beautiful days out. Puzzling fun for the whole family: The beautifully designed scenes from a variety of fairytales have been mixed up. Take a good look! There are many deliberate mistakes at the fairytale stations - can you find them? Get to know loads of different trees and shrubs on the nature trail. At the end of the circuit there is a large water playground and the Viking memory game guarantees fun and games! Treat yourself to hearty fare at our restaurant. Hot food, cakes, ice cream and snacks all day long. We look forward to your visit!
At the entrance to Mühlen you will find the town's landmark, the "Alte Bauernmühle" ("Old Farm Mill"). Here, visitors can take on the role of miller and grind their own flour themselves. A comprehensive collection of 110 varieties of cereals and a photo exhibition titled "From Grain to Bread" make the everyday workings of the farm mill a real experience.
The Bauernmuseum (Farm Museum) is a world of adventure for both young and old. It vividly depicts farming life, work and culture. Visitors can expect a journey through time to the 20th century with an insight into the working methods and associated tools. The blacksmith’s demonstration workshop is impressive.
MARIAHOF CRAZY GOLF COURSE
Skill and patience are required for a game of golf on the 18-hole crazy golf course at the Knappenwirt in Mariahof. Fun for the whole family, young and old. Exercise out in the fresh air is good for your health, and after exerting yourself you can treat yourself to a culinary delight or two.

OBERWÖLZ MUSEUM OF BRASS INSTRUMENTS & RURAL LIFE
The Blasmusik- & Heimatmusem Oberwölz (Museum of Brass Instruments and Rural Life) features a variety of instruments as well as beautiful, colourful traditional costumes and uniforms from various regions across Austria, which show the history of music and its traditions through the ages. The museum conveys impressions of the life and work of previous generations. Special exhibition: "Skiing: Then and Now".
OBERWÖLZ LEISURE CENTRE
Fun and games for the whole family. The leisure centre offers a heated outdoor pool with water slide and diving tower, a beach volleyball court, outdoor chess, tennis courts, a skate park, a sports and recreation hall, a children's playground and a restaurant.
SCHEIFLING PIPE MUSEUM
The Pfeifen- und Heimatmuseum can be found in a house first built in 1630 and features 550 interesting pipes from all over the world, including documentation of tobacco cultivation in the Scheifling area. This former convent and romantic cloister is home to this extremely diverse museum. It lovingly tells the history of both the artisanal crafts and the town of Murau. KÖTZLMÜHLE MILL & FLAX-BREAKING HOUSE
Take a journey into the past and visit the Kötzlmühle mill in Feistritz and the Brechelhütte (flax-breaking house) in Althofen. The Kötzlmühle and its three mill wheels was first mentioned in 1305. The waters of the Fluder and an oak trough invite you to try Kneipp therapy! In autumn the flax was dried and broken in the Brechelhütte to get the flax fibres.

The Naturkegelbahn (outdoor bar skittles lane) at the Gasthaus Gössler dates back to the 18th century and offers guests an enjoyable pastime with a difference: the packed clay surface and the wooden balls (only 7 - 12 cm diameter) make a strike almost impossible. A unique experience!
